Adventures in Teaching Friday August 5th

Day 6000(somethingishy) of teaching:
"There is no failure. Only feedback." -Robert Allen
As a celebration for over 6000 days of teaching I have decided to start a teaching blog.
I have been teaching since my sophomore year of college (2006)
My teaching career started at Convent of Sacred Heart in Greenwich Ct, then I built my private studio, worked at Blue Bus Music which relocated from Katonah, NY to Ridgefield, Ct. As a graduate student I taught guitar lessons Purchase College. Then in 2015 I decided I only wanted to teach Classical music and really young kids so I got Suzuki Certified and moved to NYC with my partner. In NYC I work at NYC Guitar school and I keep commuting to Greenwich to teach at Greenwich Suzuki Academy. As a side note: MY SCHEDULE IS FULL, but I am adding the schools I work at because they are mom and pop owned businesses and my bosses are amazing and they deserve all the business they can get. I also have learned that mom and pop shops are the best to work for.
One of the biggest joys I have found from teaching kids of a young age is seeing the progress throughout the years and seeing people use guitar as a relaxing escape from everyday life.
